About these terms
musacad.org is run by me, Pranay Kiran. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it — you can still get Musa CAD and its source code from GitHub.
The software and its license
Musa CAD is free software, released under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3 or later. You may use it for any purpose, including commercial work, and you may study, change and share it under that license’s terms. The license, not this page, decides what you may do with the program; where the two ever seem to differ, the license wins.
What you draw with Musa CAD is yours. The license covers the program, not your drawings.
No warranty
Musa CAD is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, as its license sets out. To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using it or this website — including lost or corrupted drawings, wrong dimensions, or costs that follow from them.
CAD drawings often end up as buildings, parts and machines. Check your work, especially dimensions and anything converted from another format, before anyone builds from it, and keep backups of drawings that matter.
Official downloads
Official builds of Musa CAD come from three places only:
- this website,
- the releases of MusaCAD/MusaCAD on GitHub, and
- Flathub, as
org.musacad.MusaCAD.
Anyone may build and share Musa CAD under its license, but builds from anywhere else aren’t mine and I can’t vouch for them. Where a release publishes a SHA-256 checksum, use it to check your download.
Third-party software and services
Opening and saving DWG uses the ODA File Converter, a separate program by the Open Design Alliance, under its own license — you accept the Open Design Alliance’s terms when you download it. GitHub, Flathub, PayPal and Ko-fi are run by others under their own terms. AutoCAD is a registered trademark of Autodesk, Inc.; Musa CAD is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Autodesk.
The Musa CAD name and logo
The Musa CAD name and logo identify this project. You’re welcome to use them to talk about Musa CAD — in reviews, articles, tutorials and courses. Please don’t use them in a way that suggests your own product, service or modified build is Musa CAD or is endorsed by it.
Donations
Donations are voluntary gifts toward development. They don’t buy goods, services, support or influence over the project, and they’re processed by the payment service you choose, under its terms. If you sent one by mistake, write to me at [email protected].
Using this website
Please don’t try to disrupt the site, its hosting, or anyone else’s use of it. Information here is offered in good faith and kept as accurate as I can, but it may be incomplete or out of date — the release notes and the documentation in the repository are the reference. The source of this website is public on GitHub.

This site links to services I don’t run. I’m not responsible for their content, their availability or their practices.
